Weather Situation

A weak ridge of high pressure will remain along the Queensland east coast for the next few days. A low near New Caledonia will push a deceptively powerful easterly swell into southeast Queensland waters until early today. A trough and weak southerly change is expected to move into far southern waters today. The ridge will strengthen during the weekend as a high pressure system currently over the Great Australian Bight moves eastwards towards the Tasman Sea.
