Weather Situation

A high to the east of New Zealand extends a weak ridge along the southeast Queensland coast. A coastal trough is expected to enter southern Queensland waters during Saturday and extend northwards during the rest of the weekend. A new high will move into the Great Australian Bight over the weekend and will extend a ridge through southern Queensland waters in the wake of the trough.

WindsSoutheasterly 10 to 15 knots turning east to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon and evening

Seas :  Below 1 metre.

Swell : East to southeasterly around 1 to 1.5 metres.

Weather :  Partly cloudy. 20% chance of a shower north of Maroochydore, near zero chance elsewhere.
