Ex-Tropical Cyclone Winston lies over the Coral Sea offshore of the Whitsundays and will continue to move northwestwards during the rest of today. A slow moving high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea extends a firm ridge into southern Queensland waters.

Sunshine Coast Waters Forecast: Double Island Point to Cape Moreton

Winds : Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots turning easterly 15 to 20 knots during the afternoon and evening.

SeasAround 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres around midday.

Swell : Easterly around 1 metre.

Weather : Cloudy. 80% chance of showers. The chance of a thunderstorm this morning.
