A weak ridge extends along the east coast of Queensland. A trough is likely to develop in the eastern Coral Sea later today or early Tuesday and may move slightly further westwards towards the Central Coast on Tuesday and Wednesday. The ridge is also likely to strengthen on Wednesday as a new high moves into the Tasman Sea.
