A high near New Zealand extends a ridge along the east coast of Queensland. The high will move slowly east as a new high pushes towards the southern Tasman by midweek, maintaining the ridge.

Sunshine Coast Waters Forecast: Double Island Point to Cape Moreton

Winds : Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore.

Seas : 1 to 1.5 metres.

Swell : Easterly 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres offshore.

Weather : Partly cloudy. 30% chance of a shower this morning.
