A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a weak ridge over the southern Coral Sea. A new high will move east into the southern Tasman Sea late today, extending a firm ridge and a fresh southeasterly wind flow into southern Queensland waters.

Winds : East to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots turning southeasterly around midday. Winds reaching up to 20 knots offshore in the late evening.
Seas : Below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres by early evening.
Swell : Easterly 1 to 1.5 metres.
2nd Swell : Southerly 1 to 1.5 metres offshore, decreasing to around 1 metre during the morning.
