Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge through Queensland. A trough off the southern coast will move northwards before shifting away from the Queensland coast later today. Another trough is expected in far southern waters late Tuesday and move northwards throughout Wednesday, with strong southerly winds behind the trough.
Sunshine Coast Waters Forecast: Double Island Point to Cape Moreton
Winds : Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore in the morning. Winds turning easterly in the afternoon.
Seas : 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing below 1 metre around midday.
1st Swell : Easterly 1 to 1.5 metres, tending southeasterly around 1 metre later in the evening.
2nd Swell : Southerly around 1 metre offshore.
Weather : Partly cloudy. 60% chance of showers this morning.
