A weak ridge of high pressure will remain along the Queensland east coast for the next few days. A low near New Caledonia will push a deceptively powerful easterly swell into southeast Queensland waters from today until early Thursday. A trough and weak southerly change is expected to reach far southern waters on Thursday. the ridge will strengthen through Friday and into the weekend.

Winds : Northeasterly about 10 knots, reaching 10 to 15 knots in the late afternoon and evening.
Seas : Below 1 metre.
Swell : Easterly 1 to 1.5 metres.
