A high over the Tasman Sea will weaken as it moves gradually towards New Zealand today and tomorrow. The high extends a ridge up Queensland’s east coast, and that ridge will also weak over the coming days.

Sunshine Coast Waters Forecast: Double Island Point to Cape Moreton

WindsSoutheasterly 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 25 knots at times inshore south of Maroochydore.

Seas1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres offshore north of Maroochydore.

Swell : Easterly 1 to 1.5 metres.

Weather : Partly cloudy. 70% chance of showers. The chance of a thunderstorm offshore north of Maroochydore in the morning.
