The Tempest Driftwood Mini Mal is the perfect mid-length board for beginners!
The Driftwood was designed to be versatile and grow with the surfer as they progress. It features a forgiving outline with plenty of width for added stability and a modest rocker for increased paddle power. This board has everything a beginner dreams of whilst also featuring a pinched out nose and refined rounded square tail like a performance shortboard so that when you are up and to your feet it will carve the wave face like a board half its size.
This lightweight board will allow you to get into waves early with its superior glide capabilities due to its rocker profile. When surfing the waves face, the board is super stable yet incredibly easy to turn by a simple shift in weight. In addition, with the added moulded EPS core, this board is super buoyant and offers more paddle power and pop than other models in the range.
Tempest have produced an incredibly fast and user friendly model with this one and it is a clear winner regardless of whether you are just starting out or simply simply want to add a bit more volume to their quiver.
This popular board comes in two constructions and styles; Classic Pearl White (lightest option) and a fully exposed timber deck and rail wrap (strongest option).
