Originally the plan was to start at the top and work our way down, but as any surfer knows, sometimes the plan has only been built to be changed and torn apart by the swells. This time around that certainly happened and it sent us in the direction of the Emerald Isle. Ireland is a place very familiar to Jayce and I, both of us having spent vast amounts of time there, and making many great friends in various parts of the beautiful country

This trip was different in many ways to our previous visits to Ireland. As well as scoring some amazing waves at Mullaghmore during just the very first few days of our trip, we had plenty of time to really explore the country and see some of the amazing sights and scenery that normally get overshadowed by the 20 foot spitting beasts all the way along the coast.

A real highlight for us was having the opportunity to spend an hour or so on a rainy day chatting to Nan and Patricia. These are two of the most genuine and lovely people, who just happen to own one of the most authentic pubs in Bundoran high street. Having a chance to chat to them and getting to pour a ‘proper’ Guiness behind the bar at Brennans really gave us a great connection with the area and the people, and a small insight into some of the deep set history and culture of the place, which really made it a special adventure and a privilege to then go on and get some amazing waves.

We hope that you like our series of videos, as much as we will enjoy creating them. We plan to showcase not only some great surfing, but also the culture and vibe of each country we venture through. With good friend of our’s and very talented videographer – Luke Pilbeam – behind the lens, capturing every golden moment, I’m sure there will be lots of eye candy for everyone to enjoy.
