A large high over the southern Tasman Sea will move eastwards across the Tasman Sea. The ridge along the Queensland coast will be reinforced during the next few days as the strong high towards New Zealand.
Winds : Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 25 knots offshore in the morning.
Seas : 1.5 to 2 metres.
Swell : Easterly around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore.
Weather : Partly cloudy. 70% chance of showers.

An increase in the Sth Easterly swell with waves in the 2-3 foot range, winds out of the south this morning before strengthening from the Sth East at 15-20 knots. The open beach breaks not looking the best on the northern stretches, with Coolum and the Bays,Twin Waters, Maroochy South , Currumundi and inside Moffats as the tide moves in. High tide at 11.40 am. When the Sth Easterlies spring up, check the protected points. The patrolled beaches of Mooloolaba and Noosa the pick of the beaches throughout the day, with the water temp at 25c.
