A strong high in the Great Australian Bight is extending a firm ridge across Queensland. A trough will move northwards through far southern Queensland waters tonight, maintaining strong winds through Friday. The high and ridge should then weaken over the weekend.

Winds : Southerly 20 to 25 knots, reaching up to 30 knots offshore in the morning and again in the late evening.

Swell :  Southerly 2 to 3 metres.

Weather : Mostly sunny. 30% chance of a shower offshore.
